In our constant quest to innovate and change the way companies think about saving energy, Optimum Energy continues to find new approaches to reducing inefficiencies in cooling and heating. We are pleased to announce our newest patent, covering Controlled Hydronic Distribution Systems. This patent (US Pat: 9,810,438 B2) calculates the optimal speed and temperature for a pumping system with smart valves in HVAC systems, saving energy in multiple ways. The microprocessor runs one or more algorithms that process the temperatures and positions of the valves and the computes a desired speed for one or more variable speed pumps within the system.

“This newly awarded patent follows the focus of Optimum Energy, which is to help our customers reduce energy use in heating and cooling systems. I am proud to be part of the team at Optimum Energy, continuing to innovate and apply new technology to reducing energy use, across the globe.” – Ian Dempster, Co-inventor of the patent, Optimum Energy Senior Director of Product Innovation
