Optimum Energy Appoints Ben Erpelding Vice President of Engineering and Solution Architecture

New VP has been Key Player in Company’s Growth and Success

SEATTLE — May 4, 2011 — Optimum Energy LLC today announced that the company has appointed Ben Erpelding to the position of vice president of engineering and solution architecture. Erpelding has been the company’s director of engineering since June 2007. In his new role, Erpelding will provide technical direction for Optimum Energy’s solutions, product development and sales, as well as continue to serve as the Optimum Energy technical spokesman. The new position will enable him to better leverage his thought leadership and technical expertise to advance Optimum Energy’s product offerings.

Erpelding has more than 14 years of experience in energy efficiency, chiller plant optimization and combined heat and power technologies and has worked on more than 500 chilled water plants throughout the United States, China and the Middle East. In 2010, Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine named him among 40 Top Engineers Under 40. Erpelding has a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in combined heat and power from San Diego State. He is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of California and a member of the HPAC Engineering Magazine Editorial Advisory Board.
